A debt of gratitude is owed to all of the public and anonymous, volunteers and voters that have stuck with us through the special election of this 50+ day campaign season.
Despite the classic Jessie Ventura/Obama wave, we received 95% of Republican votes it was a record. It is rare to see a Republican receive 22,000+ votes in this district. We are very grateful for that; however, to those who gave their precious votes to the write-in campaign we needed you. United we stand - divided we fall - we fell. Because Representative Sondra Erickson and my campaign lost by less than 100 votes each we now have an automatic recount…stay tuned
To Ms. Fobbe and all other participants - now that the voting is over we must bind up our wounds and govern our communities and state.
We will be gathering at my home celebrating marriage and life after the recount which is yet to be scheduled by the Secretary of State office. Visit our website for more details of this family celebration.
I love America and all of its goodness.
It is heart warming to see citizens, exercise what our soldiers and founding fathers so bravely fought. We are all part of this truly great country that sacrificed the lives of over 630,000 men in the Civil war for a principle – the principle that all people have inalienable rights granted by God - that includes the unborn child and the marriage that makes the necessary sacrifices to keep their commitments.
As McCain said, “It is not that you fight. It is what you fight for.”
I remain committed to defending those shared values of traditional marriage and life and all other classic conservative ideals.
Again, thank you. God Bless you and God Bless America
Our local legislators must lead with confidence. We cannot deny our crisis or our responsibility. We can use this to pull together our families, communities and look to leaders that have mastered their spirit, can manage their households and their finances. Our next generation is counting on us.
